Thomson Reuters Institute launches new podcast channel

The Legal Executive Institute, in conjunction with the broader Thomson Reuters Institute, is pleased to announce that we are launching our new podcast channel, Thomson Reuters Market Insights. Featuring podcasts aimed at tax, compliance, and legal professionals, this new channel will focus on bringing listeners engaging interviews and content from thought leaders across a variety of disciplines.

You can listen to the new podcast here.

The podcast series is founded on three key pillars:

  1. Truth — We strive to provide detailed, research- and data-driven content that draws on Thomson Reuters own data sources and those of other recognized industry leaders.
  2. Depth — We will dig into issues that will provide our listeners a deeper understanding of the context and outcomes of the issues we explore.
  3. Access — We want to make complex issues approachable and understandable, creating greater access to creative solutions, while also providing insight into the ideas of those thought leaders with whom it might otherwise be hard to connect.

In the inaugural podcast on the channel, Mike Abbott, Vice President for Market Insights and Thought Leadership for Thomson Reuters, discusses why the decision was made to launch a podcast channel now, his goals for what this new series will provide to listeners, and lessons he’s learned as the leader of a team tasked with being at the forefront of industry innovation during a time when everything is changing rapidly.

Upcoming podcasts will explore topics such as the future of work in the new normal, diversity and inclusion in the legal industry in light of recent austerity moves, the impact of the pandemic on global trade, changes in state tax policies in light of recent legislation, and the future of legal education.
