Ask Dr. Paola: how can I best incentivise my firm’s lawyers toward better performance?

03 Aug 2017

Our colleagues at the Thomson Reuters Legal Executive Institute launched a new monthly column featuring advice from Dr. Paola Cecchi-Dimeglio, a behavioral economist and senior research fellow for Harvard Law School’s Center on the Legal Profession and the Harvard Kennedy School.

Following on from her first column which explored if data analysis can make lawyers better or more efficient, Dr. Paola’s second column, published in April, examines how best to create effective incentives for positive behavioral change.

Once again Dr. Paola highlights the importance of making an informed choice based upon evidence. To begin with the firm needs to understand what motivates people. To learn more and get advice on where to start visit Legal Executive Institute
