Jemma Tagg

CEO, Twenty Essex

Jemma Tagg joined Twenty Essex in 2017 and as CEO is responsible for strategy and management.  She has led various changes for the set, designed to address the dynamic legal landscape and the evolving demands of a global client base. This includes agreeing a business plan that puts diversity and inclusion as a strategic priority for the set. Jemma is particularly passionate about promoting improvements in diversity through collaboration across the Bar.

Previously, she practised as a disputes lawyer at Slaughter and May, acting on large commercial disputes and regulatory investigations, before moving on to become the Head of International Relations at the firm.

Outside of chambers, Jemma has undertaken non-executive roles in the education sector and is currently chair of a school governing board in South East London. She has also recently been appointed to the Executive Board of the Legal Practice Managers Association.
